Murano, the Glass Island

Probably the most famous islands from the venetian Lagoon. Well known worldwide for the art of blowing glass. To preserve the city from fires that often were caused by the factories themself, all factories were moved to the island of Murano in 1259. Factories are open to the public and tourists can watch the master creating delightful works of Art.
